Sistema Intensivo del Cultiove de Arroz (B)

System of Rice Intensification (known as SRI) is a set of rice farming practices developed to increase the productivity of land and water. Experience and trials from across regions show that SRI can increase rice yields using less water, labor and other farm inputs. SRI crops display features such as, greater resistance to drought conditions, wind damage, and other climate challenges, hence making them more resilient to changing climate and to increasing competition for water. SRI has been seen as a Climate-Smart Agriculture practice with proven results.
