crisscrossing Science Episode 025: Extra Solar Planets

In this episode, Chris Gaiser (professor of biology at Linfield College) and Mike Crosser (professor of physics at Linfield College) discuss the techniques for detecting extrasolar planets, otherwise known as exoplanets. These are any planets that exist outside of our own solar system, for instance, orbiting around other stars. In recent years, hundreds of exoplanets have been discovered, altering our understanding of how common planets likely are in the universe.
