Ethics, State Constitutions, and Election Day:

Next month's vote on whether New York will hold a constitutional convention has generated much discussion about what constitutional provisions should be added by delegates if a convention occurs. The Center for the Advancement of Public Integrity at Columbia Law School and the Hugh Carey Institute for Government Reform have conducted an academic study of ethics-related provisions in the constitutions all 50 states, in an attempt to determine the most effective way to use the New York constitution to curb our state's corruption problem.
