Using Turnitin Feedback Tools in Face-to-Face and Online Classes

The webinar will cover how comment categories can be edited and organized for the purpose of your class and how comments can be color coded in the Quick Marks section, how general text comments can be added and how audio comments can be recorded (permitting more individualized feedback, especially in online courses) in the General Comments section, and how the comments can be saved for offline work or other purposes.&nbsp;This webinar will showcase the different means for instructors to provide formative writing feedback to international non-native English speakers.<br><br>Veronika Maliborska is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Global Pathways and American Classroom programs, which prepare international students for admission to undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Her research interests include second language writing, the learning potential of writing, and teaching pronunciation, prosody, and vocabulary to international teaching assistants. Dr. Maliborska’s recent research focused on the pedagogical potential of individual conferences in a composition course for international students. She is a member of the Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages International Association and the American Association for Applied Linguistics, where she annually presents her research findings.<br>
