Welcome to Whitman College. And I'm the head of Whitman because how much do I wish to wait until the damage? But I want to take the opportunity nonetheless, to give you a little tour of Whitman College and to give you some advice. Because after all, let us are built to make college students successful. On our little tour. We're friends to come with us. Here is first one, our friend, the whitman. Well, so come on the tour and we'll show you Whitman. Here. We are on the yes. Branch. Yes. For getting into Princeton. That what that yes. Originally stands for. But yes. For being here? Yes. For four years of college? Yes, for graduate. It's also a good reminder to think positively. Give yourself some calculus for the work you enjoy. It's kinda get busy very quickly. Stressful. Just remind yourself of all you've already accomplished and you can do this. You will do it together. To come on the tour. In here. One of the quiet, peaceful study spaces that students find themselves. Subspaces, really doing homework, problem sets, and tests. So wherever you are at home with relatives in an Airbnb rental mix, you have that quiet, peaceful study space. And here we are in the college office. It is here where you meet the Director of Studies, the director of student life, the deans and all the staff of the college. Boy here to assist you with any question you might have for your studies and for your living in the college. All right, now, we cannot meet in person. All of them are here and meet you virtue. And so on the phone or by email or by any other way that works to connecting purse. So please do remember to reach out for anything that might come to. Any problems that you encounter, any thoughts you might have, plans you have for your studies. Come, reach out to us. We're looking forward to hearing from you. And here we are. A community hall. This is our dining hall. We'll be having breakfast, lunch, dinner, and sometimes even at midterm times and final times when it's really busy and you're studying many hours, will have midnight breakfast. It's a place to eat, to place to meet friends. It's a place to stage events. It's also a place for fuel for all the hard work and fun we are having. So remember, healthy. And here we are in our common room. It's a place to just the trends, read a book or play the piano, watch TV together with friends, and just find someone. Now of course this year, our community will start out to be virtual. And we will try everything to create a virtual community. And so I invite you to fully join that virtual community. And soon enough, it'll become a real community. And here we are in a Whitman theater at place where clubs, whoops, dance groups like whoops, Theatre Group's stage their performance as the appendix. It is all student run. The performances, the technical aspects, the lights, the South. And so it's a great reminder to challenge yourself intellectually beyond what you encounter in your classes. Join a club, join your group. Right now, many of them are holding Virchow auditions. And soon enough, there will be virtual performances. Join in and enjoy the cultural richness of your college experience. And here we're Whitman dance studio, or yoga studio or exercise studio. And it's a great reminder to keep your bodies. Step away from the computer. Go outside, take a walk. What de dot, do some sports safely with your friends. Keep your bodies and I hope you enjoyed our brief tour of Whitman College. And I hope you enjoy virtual offerings. You'll have for the coming weeks until we meet in person. Here at Whitman. Stay safe. Stay healthy, and keep your loved one's safe and healthy. And see you soon.
