The College: Our Shining City on the Hill

Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, attorney and former lieutenant governor of Maryland (1995-2003), discusses her view of a college's purpose. In her lecture, Townsend describes what she sees as a worrying trend for the United States: a greater divisiveness and focus on individualism, which lessens the focus on community.
