The Legacy of Rachel Carson: Do Environmentalists Make Any Difference?

In this public lecture, Dr. Robert Musil (senior fellow and adjunct professor at the Center for Congressional and Presidential Studies in the School of Public Affairs at American University) considers the lasting impact of conservationist Rachel Carson's passion for science, concern for humanity, and preservation of the environment. Musil is president and CEO of the Rachel Carson Council, the legacy environmental organization envisioned by Carson and founded in 1965 by her friends and colleagues.
