Kaltura’s platform is now available to partners as a hosted solution, through an elaborate Software Development Kit. Kaltura works with partners in order to integrate and customize the technology, and provides them with the required training and support. Any website can enjoy the benefits of video creation, collaboration and the combination of the two as a way to enhance usability, increase time spent on the site, boost advertisement revenues, and increase viewers’ engagement with the site and with each other.
Additionally, through a partnership with the Wikimedia Foundation, Kaltura has developed a collaborative video extension to the MediaWiki software. Click here to view collaborative videos created using this extension. This extension allows users to embed collaborative video widgets (any user can add to and edit these videos, with full history and versioning). The Kaltura MediaWiki extension is available as open-source software on http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=213701. Developers and Partners are encouraged to add this extension and apply for a partner ID to enable this capability. Kaltura is currently developing extensions to other leading platforms to support rich media creation and collaboration on these additional platforms as well.
