Daniel R. Gold, D.O.; David S. Zee M.D. Departments of Neurology, Ophthalmology, Neurosurgery, Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine Instructional ocular motor examination procedures. These videos address each individual class of eye movement, and the proper technique to evaluate each. The videos themselves are narrated with regard to how to perform the maneuvers. Saccades: The examiner should note: conjugacy (a lag of the adducting eye may be seen with an INO); accuracy (posterior fossa lesions commonly produce dysmetria (overshooting or undershooting); velocity (if slow, may suggest a lesion of the burst neurons in the pons [PPRF - horizontally] or midbrain [riMLF - vertically]) This video is part of the NOVEL Exam Collection in NOVEL, the Neuro-Ophthalmology Virtual Education Library.
