Overview - What is the Wikimania Video Site?
This is the place for you to create, contribute and collaborate with rich-media in relation to the Wikimania 2008 event. The sky is the limit here - we've started a few collaborative videos that we think are relevant and will be informative and fun to work on - check them out, add your perspective, start your own videos and enjoy!
How to use this site
If you'd like to add media (pictures, videos, audio) to videos that have already been created, simply click the "Add to this video" button on the interactive video player. You can also edit and remix the videos by clicking the "Remix this video" button on the player.
You can also create your own videos by:
- clicking the "Add Video" link in the toolbox on the left navbar
- clicking the "Video" button in the wiki toolbar in edit mode of any page
- clicking the "Start new video" link on the top of the video player

This site uses collaborative video technology from Kaltura, which the Wikimedia Foundation has partnered with. Specifically, the Wikimedia Foundation and Kaltura have begun a process aimed at bringing rich-media collaboration to Wikipedia and other wiki websites. This wiki provides the community with a place to test and play with the technology and share feedback. Please provide your own input on the collaborative video functionality on the Feedback Page.
