Stable versions have been discussed essentially from day one of Wikipedia and have now finally seen the light of day in form of the flagged revisions, the german Wikipedia being the first project to enable these.

In this talk, the new mediawiki extension Flagged Revisions is explained, as well as the underlying concept of sighted and quality revisions. The history and development of the extension and the concepts are explored and finally, an account of the current ongoing test on the German Wikipedia is given, together with some preliminary results.
